What We Do
Learn. Develop. Apply. Our organization provides the necessary environment for our members to apply what they learn in the class room in a more robust and dynamic enviroment. The first step is learning. We constantly encourage our members to look for new ideas and new ways to solve problems. We take what we learn in the class room and expand it in a structured orgainization. Whether it may be The President or Web Administrator, every member contributes to the growth of the fraternity. Members develop themselves as they work together to achieve a common goal, the elevation of Alpha Kappa Psi. After we have learned and developed ourselves within our fraternity and SJSU, we seek opportunities to apply our knowledge in more challenging roles. We have recruiters from various industries seeking to hire individuals with the set of skills develop in our organizations. Our alumni become key members in teams across a broad list of organizations ranging from technology companies like Google and NASA to the Big 4 like KPMG and PWC.
Brotherhood. At the core of any high performing team is a strong relationship. One of the most important aspect of college is to meet new people and build relationships that you will continue to develop after graduation. What is unique about Alpha Kappa Psi is that we place heavy emphasis on building a strong brotherhood that will last a lifetime. We strenghten our brotherhood through formal and informal events. We firmly believe that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and that our greatest strength lies within our diversity.
